MARIA SEBASTIAN NEWS
2010:
Thank you to all who have purchased my CD, Yellow Envelope, this year. They are selling well and with strong reviews. I hope there is a song for each of you :). 4/23
I have new plans to record in Nashville with some fantastic talents in the fall. More on that soon! 4/22
The Visitors are learning my songs so that they can back me up on my own music for some upcoming shows. The first will be the benefit for fallen firefighter Jonathon Croom's family. See the shows page for the poster--many great bands will play with us. 3/28
It's been an interesting year so far: I sang the Ch. 2 Daybreak show jingle and also sang backups with the 10,000 Maniacs (adding rhythm guitar too) with the possibility of more shows. With a 3-week spin like that, I should have my own talk show by the end of 2010! ;)
2009:
Thank you to voters and the Buffalo Music Awards for the second consecutive Original Acoustic Solo award -- 2009!
Thank you to Buffalo Spree for the 2009 Buffalo Spree Best of WNY music award for my CD, Yellow Envelope!
May 18th: In From the Cold (my former band with Gary Mallaber and Jack Sherman, 1996-2001) had a song placed in a Melrose Place, season 5, Ep #14 rerun. ;)
The new CD, Yellow Envelope, is done!
2008:
Thanks for the Original Acoustic Solo category at the Buffalo Music Awards this year!
I sang a song a while back, written by Buffalo and L.A. musicians, Alan Kroll and Tommy Z, and it is being used in a new film for kids called Ryan and Sean's Not So Excellent Adventure. :).
"On the Run" a song produced by Nelson Starr, written by Michael Gordon, and performed by Nelson Starr and I, has been used for the second time in a recent film. Funny: We don't even know what film it was, but does it matter?
